The final day of the international basketball tournament featuring Europe’s top U16 teams took place at the Allianz Dome arena in Trieste, the home of Pallacanestro Trieste and a stage every young hopeful would love to tread.
FINAL 5TH PLACE
BARCELONA – BAYERN MÜNCHEN 86:43 (19:2, 37:22, 55:33)
Barcelona clinches fifth place at the No Borders Euro Cup 2022 tournament after they get the better of Bayern München. A poor start for the Germans was fatal, with only two points scored in the first quarter. Bayern tried to fight back in the second quarter but Barcelona was undaunted and stretched further in the second half.
FINAL 3RD PLACE
STELLA AZZURRA ROMA – ARMANI MILANO 61:62 (11:16, 27:36, 43:50)
Armani Milano beats Stella Azzurra Roma at the end of a very balanced match and closes the No Borders Cup 2022 in third place. Milan led throughout the match, but risked a mockery in the final when it was caught up and then overtaken by Rome. In a final point Armani still managed to get the better of the situation and win with a basket with two seconds left.

REAL MADRID – ORANGE1 BASSANO 87:71 (17:19, 39:35, 60:47)
Real Madrid won the first No Borders Euro Cup 2022 international tournament at the end of a highly technical and athletic challenge at the Allianz Dome against Orange1 Bassano. The game is very close in the first half, with the Spaniards managing to stretch in the third quarter. Bassano came close in the final, but without being able to complete the comeback.
