FIRST DAY, FIRST MATCH
BAYERN MÜNCHEN – OLIMPIJA CEDEVITA LJUBLJANA 96:90
It’s immediately great basketball in Opicina during the first day of the No Borders Euro Cup 2022 youth tournament. In the first match, it was Bayern München who came out on top against Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana in a two-sided match, with the Slovenians doing well in the first half to build a lead of more than 20 points, only to suffer the comeback of the Germans, who prevailed with the pyrotechnic result of 96:90 in a point-to-point final.
FIRST DAY, SECOND MATCH
PARTIZAN BELGRADE – STELLA AZZURRA ROME 41:71 (7:21, 20:35, 29:58)
Stella Azzurra Roma deservedly beat Partizan Belgrade in the second match of the first day of the No Borders Euro Cup 2022 tournament. The Roman team got off to a great start with an early 0:16 and continued to increase the lead during the following minutes, which allowed them to win the two points in a match with a result that was never in dispute.
FIRST DAY, THIRD MATCH
BARCELONA – ORANGE1 BASSANO 58:65 (13:23, 32:35, 42:51)
Bassano’s Orange1 got the better of Barcelona at the end of a very balanced third challenge of the first day of the No Borders Euro Cup 2022 tournament. The ten-point treasure accumulated in the first quarter proved decisive for the Veneti, although Barcelona was good at coming back to within three at the end of the first half. The Blaugrana got as close as one full possession away again in the last quarter (56:59), but Orange1 was good at staying sharp and taking home the victory.
FIRST DAY, FOURTH MATCH
REAL MADRID – ARMANI MILANO 70:59 (25:9, 38:25, 51:44)
The first day of the No Borders Euro Cup 2022 tournament ended with a victory for Real Madrid. Also on this occasion the first quarter turns out to be crucial for the economy of the match, with the Spaniards closing ahead by 16 after an initial partial of 18:1. Armani Milano is good at reacting and manages to get up to minus five in the last quarter (56:51), but the comeback stops there.
